What is LOOK Elite Models?

Well, the name tells that it´s most likely a model agency and there are supposed elite models in it. Will that fact result in me doing business with LOOK Elite Models? Or would it make me want to try to join that agency as a model? In some cases yes but in most cases no. Not today, the name itself is far from enough, today we want more information.

The fashion business in Second Life has developed explosively, a search for models or model agencies done in the Second Life Search gives us a picture. We can identify hundreds of model agencies, being more or less active. Some rise and shine a while and then fall as quickly as they occurred on the scene. This world is highly competitive, cruel and deceptive.

There are lots of people out there who justify themselves as being oracles, who tries to set the agenda of what is good or bad and the meaning of words like quality, beauty and perfection. In that aspect we in LOOK Elite Models have a humble attitude. First you´ve got to realize that the world of Second Life is a big universe with broad spectra of canals for information. If you start to feel that you are something unique and well known it can be an illusion. In some other part of this gigantic virtual universe it’s not obvious that someone even heard about you and what you are doing.

In this harsh reality LOOK Elite Models are trying to create an environment with a different perspective. We are trying to think outside the box. We believe that an open mind with new perspectives on old ways of doing things in the fashion business is important. For example were reconfiguring the base structure of how a model agency is organized. We are creating a network of supporting functions to the agency after thoroughly considering which partner to use. This can be photographers, makeover artists and other specialists. This way we can always develop with influence from the outside, decreasing the risk of stagnation.

We are focusing on the new actors on the fashion scene, the unknown, the future of Second Life Fashion. 

If you want to become a model in LOOK Elite Models you got to realize a couple of things. To get to the top in modeling in Second Life, it’s as in RL, a bumpy road where very few people reach the end of it. It takes time, it’s expensive and you always have to be on your toes to keep up with the development. And mainly, do you have the right attitude, the attitude that we want for LOOK Elite Models? 

Clients: Services provided and Rate list

1. fashion show: 700 per outfit + outfit remains to models unless otherwise agreed
2. photo shoot:   700 per model, per hour + outfit remains to models unless otherwise agreed
3. sponsorships: usually 7000 per show to provide whatever advertisement the client requires for the duration of the show
. permanent sponsorships available if desired, TBD
- sponsorship does not include providing apparel/accessories for a show. See point 1. It is for advertising purposes only. We will place anything requested or provided, such as textures, kiosks offering demos, etc, on the premises for the duration of the show and a short time before and after
4. Client vendors: Look Elite keeps 25% on merchandise purchased; vendor is purchased and managed by client through group membership. No rent is paid for vendors or space other than mentioned above
ANY EXCEPTION TO THE ABOVE IS TO BE AGREED BEFOREHAND IN WRITING BY BOTH PARTIES

we provide:
a. the premises or venue. Runway for fashion shows
b. the photographer for the photo shoots, if desired. This location may vary and we are free to use whichever photographer we wish. However, we are agreeable to working at a different location for both a. and b. if the customer wishes
c. space for display of the customer’s merchandise, i.e. to keep the vendors

Agreements are to be regulated by a contract as defined separately.
A contract to me signed by both parties will be provided, detailing each party’s responsibilities and deadlines

How to become a LOOK Elite Model

1 – LOOK Elite Model Candidate. This group is an invitation only group and will be a proving ground for the main model group. If you want to join this group send a note card to our CEO Laura18 Streeter.
In this group you will get different options and offers to develop. Some are free of charge, some are not. Candidates who possess a high level of skill and work ethic will be invited to join the main group, LOOK Elite Models.

2 – LOOK Elite Models. This is the main modeling group. After you are accepted you will be invited to join this group. We will set high standards here, but we don’t want you to rest with this accomplishment. Your development as a professional model will always be moving forward and your training never stops. As a member of this core group, you will also have exclusive access to our special events, including members only parties (you get rewarded for your hard work!), workshops with industry professionals, special events where you network with top designers and learn tricks of the trade.

3 – LOOK Elite Top Models. Only the best of the best reach this level and no one will accept your bribes (grin).  The models from the main group who are found to be consistently at the top of their game will undergo severe testing before being invited into this exclusive group.

(4) To become a part of Look Elite Models, the procedure is as follows:

A. send a request to Laura18 Streeter. You will be given an application form to fill out, and to be redurned to Education Officer Renee Veliz. With this form completed you will be contacted; if you qualify you will get an interview with us. If the results of the initial contact are satisfactory wou will join the Candidates group. You may be asked to take training or improve your image, at your expense.

B. To get work you must be in the Models group. You enter this group, if you are already a candidate, after at the very least a series of tests. This is a limited group, and more models will join it as the needs arise.

We do not impose exclusivity on our models – you may work with whichever other agencies you choose.
