Laura presents: Aberrant!

I recently received a box called Ultimate Bloggers Pack. It was from a brand I didn’t know before, Aberrant, and the designer is Dylain Nikita.All excited I opened it and found a nice warm sweater, and a fun set of accessories for the urban casual that’s in me:  a nice warm plaid knit scarf, decorated with a pin with a skull on it; a set of fingerless gloves, and a fun and unusual ring with … a boombox on it!

I’m standing in my room with my new outfit when I realize.. it doesn’t come with a bottom! As I sit there in my panties I go digging for a pair of pants that would work and not overpower the outfit.

Once I find something suitable, I set about making some pictures in my studio. I pick out shoes, accessories, hair and my new pair of shades which I got for my birthday

Next thing I found was a set of earrings in a jewelry store I had never seen and those got thrown in for good measure.

About midway through the shoot I realize something else would go well with this and drag out one of my new leather jackets, the Chiodo from MEB, just released.

PRISM fall collection and exclusive gift at MIMI’s CHOICE

Hello you all beautiful people

This time I would like to give you SOME of the amazing  Fall Collection designs by Journey McLaglen, the wonderful designer of PRISM, which I accessorized with some of the beautiful jewelry made by Stargem Winkler from STARS! jewelry store.

But first of all, let me show you something special Journey designed this hawt Keira dress exclusively  for Mimi’s Choice…..Go grab it!!

 

Second outfit i chose is called Gabrielle, I decided for the one in  argyle style, which I am a huuuuuge fan of. The sweet necklace called ”Blue spice” comes from Stars! as promised – you can get it also in a shorter version or a set with earings. Really cute!

 

Next outfit that took my breath away is called Irene. A beautiful, perfectuly textured and brilliant dress for every woman out there who’d like something special. The jewelry I am wearing got my attention in the moment I layed my eyes on it….perfection….it is called Dawn.

First MEILING Award won at Look Elite!

Meiling, the RL designer ( http://www.meilinginc.com/ ) just recently opened in SL (blog here http://vicariousfashionista.blogspot.com/ ), has been having a special kind of selection. Some ladies of the staff (Sequoia Nightfire, Kymsara Rayna, and our own Kay Fairey among them) were charged to find exclusive, special looks and do candid shots for evaluation by Meiling herself. Among these were Madeleine Dollinger and I; the candidates, or Finalists, can be seen here:

that day I was busy blogging for a new as-yet-unreleased Summer collection for someone else.

At the end of May one was to be chosen by the designer as the best of the lot for MSA May Winner.

Well yesterday I started getting congratulations and hopped on over to see the Flickr group and I see me listed as Winner… Thereupon I went to see the blog and find this post:

Meiling’s words were particularly special to me:
“I am thrilled to choose the first MEILING Style Award Winner for May 2011. I totally loved Laura’s style of chic and elegance but with touches of edginess. Her hair and makeup was impeccable and my top fit model (in the picture) was very impressed with it. Congrats Laura!”

Shortly thereafter Meiling herself IMmed me and we set up an appointment; apparently there was to be some kind of “ceremony”. I was more than thrilled!

When I was called, I met Meiling and was happy to see my friends Kymsara and Sequoia there too. It was all very casual and I felt at ease, although I knew I was blushing up to my ears

I was given the prize for the winner, consisting of the award statuette itself, a gift certificate, and a dress in my name, currently not for sale…

Then Meiling arranged for a ritual photo of the event:
